How much do psychics make?

Q:  How much do psychics make per hour?  Or, what about per year?  Are most good psychics rich?

A: A common question, and one that is certainly fair to ask….especially considering how many well known psychics and mediums charge outrageously high fees for relatively short readings.

The truth is, there is no real standard price for a reading, even from one of the better known psychics or mediums, although you should expect to pay at least $500 for a celebrity style reader.  Some, like Theresa Caputo (the Long Island Medium) and others like John Edward are not only expensive……but have very long wait lists, due to their high popularity.  (and the public curiosity that emanates from lots of media exposure)

Interestingly – that does NOT mean that they are better, or more skilled, or more psychic at all……and I’ve had some really BAD readings with famous psychics that proved that point to me a long while back, and to this day, some of my FAVORITE readings have been some of the least expensive and with random readers I did not know, or hadn’t heard of in advance.

I watched a cool show the other night on the BIO channel – (Unexplained) and was quite impressed with a psychic channel named Paul Selig – someone that has a pretty well known name in NYC and around the East Coast of the US, but is not super famous…….and when I checked his site, I was suprised at how affordable he was, relative to what I expected (about $250 per hour – $175 for a half hour, which is expensive of course, but for someone who does some pretty unique things, and looked VERY impressive on the show, a pretty good deal for those of us who are curious to learn more)

Alternatively - a service like Psychic Source or similar is a GREAT deal - and you can literally get a life empowering and affirming reading for a fraction of a fraction of the price you’d pay for someone with a brand name.

This varies a lot. I used to know a famous psychic who charged $2000 an hour, many years ago. She had been on television and radio, written for magazines, had famous clients and been thoroughly tested. But it would be wrong then to assume she was rich, as she might have to wait a week for a client, and she had an office and adverts to pay for. Others work for much smaller sums and some do it free, but I am always very suspicious of the cheap and free ones, as if they were any good they would be charging more. They are not cheap because they are generous, they are cheap because they charge as much as they can and nobody would pay them more.Always make sure the person you consult is fully trained, tested and qualified.Half an hour with a very good one will totally improve and sort out your life.

How much does a psychic earn

Famous Psychics – Are they more reliable?

Are famous psychics more reliable than average, “no-name” readers, or does it make no difference at all?

And why do so many people agree to pay such inflated prices to see such expensive and over priced psychics and mediums….when they can get the same (if not BETTER) readings in their local community or by phone for half the price, if not less?

For some odd reason, there is a public infatuation with famous psychics that’s hard to explain.  Maybe it’s because the more famous a psychic or medium is, the more TV time or media attention they get….and this gives folks the idea that they’re readings are going to be more accurate as a result.

The truth?  Some of the very BEST readings I have recieved have been by extraordinary readers with no public persona at all.

Some of the worst readings?

By overpriced celebrity psychics I only knew about due to their name.  (and often…..readings that were SO bad, I wish I could have asked for a refund thereafter)

The best advice is this:

If you are serious about getting an accurate psychic reading, but don’t have a big budget to blow, call a local psychic, or a reader who works for a well known and respected network.   You’ll get a money back guarantee…and a great deal on a reading that’s often amazingly good…and an experience you WON’T soon forget to boot@!

Famous Psychics – Are They REAL or Just Making it Up?

Famous psychics…….are they worth listening to, or well worth avoiding instead?

The truth is, like any other profession…..there are GREAT psychics who are well known, and complete frauds who are well known as well.  For example, Sylvia Browne, who I don’t know personally and have never seen firsthand, strikes me as someone I wouldn’t personally trust with ANY information…..period.  (I personally think she’s a fraud and a joke, but hey…….that’s just me..:-)

Others, like John Edward, I DO believe, from first hand experience and from those of others who I know and trust and respect, is doing SOMETHING very special…..even if he’s not 100% correct, all of the time.  (which I certainly don’t expect him to be, unfortunately…..some of the cynical skeptics think you’ve got to be, to be genuine)

Here is a short article from Wikipedia on famous psychics who are both real and fake, some of the nasty press some get from the media and cynical skeptics, and of course, some studies which suggest psychic abilities are VERY real, including things that the debunkers want you to believe is BS – but if you are smart and look closely, you’ll see is not.  Enjoy!

A detailed study of Sylvia Browne predictions about missing persons and murder cases has found that despite her repeated claims to be more than 85% correct, “Browne has not even been mostly correct in a single case.”[39]Lawrence LeShan, a clinical psychologist, conducted research on psychic healing under a grant from Life Energies research, Inc. He published his research results and theoretical understanding in “The Medium, the Mystic, and the Physicist”, the Viking Press, New York, 1974. He interviewed well-known psychics such as Eileen J. Garrett, with whom he met over 500 hours; Rosalind Heywood; Mrs. Willett; Phoebe Payne; and Douglas Johnson. He conducted experiments with psychics using strict scientific methodology.

He cites the research on telepathic perception using EEG-EOG Monitoring Techniques conducted by Stanley Krippner and Montague Ulmann at the Maimonides Medical Center. He presents a generalized theory of the paranormal, detailing three distinct states of consciousness, or perceptions of reality: sensory reality, or “ordinary consciousness”, in which information is gathered by the sense organs; clairvoyant reality; and transpsychic reality. In sensory reality, distinctions are emphasized; in clairvoyant and transpsychic reality, everything is perceived as a oneness, a unity.
