Here is a pretty interesting technique for having an Out of body experience that’s pretty effective. (the “rope climbing” method) While I’ve experimented wiht LOTS of different astral projection techniques over the years, I have to admit, my FAVORITE is still using binaural beats, or hemi sync sound technology to make it happen, and in a hurry..:-) Check out the short article below on Wikihow, it DOES have some pretty good advice on a number of different paranormal paths, which is kind of suprising…and cool to see as well!
# As you relax and you become less conscious of your external surroundings. Keep on relaxing until you feel a vibrating sensation in your body, and sounds that sound similar to a tornado/wind. Relax deeper and deeper until the sounds pass, DO NOT FALL ASLEEP! Soon everything will be completely silent and your body will be still.#6If you did the above correctly you should feel as if your body was paralyzed, “feels like a lead blanket is over you”. You should however be able to move your eyes, mouth, nose, and face.#7Now, here is the separation part using the “rope method.” Feel your “imaginary” hands climbing up a rope. Do not visualize this! This is meant to be only a feeling of you climbing a rope. Imagine you are doing this in pure darkness. Keep going up despite vibrations. Some have said it’s easier to climb up on inhale, stay put on exhale, etc. Soon you will find yourself out of your body. This method is proven to trigger the projection reflex. The “visualize yourself floating up” is more of a “let’s hope this works” type method

I have never successfully astral projected consciously before.. but from what I’ve read it’s impossible to sever the “rope” connecting you to your body, and your completely in control of the experience- Can return anytime you want just by willing it. Thanks for posting this. I’m gonna try this “climbing rope” technique with binaural beats!

Thanks, Alex – and I agree with you 100% – there are some that take the “symbolism” a bit too far, and I have never actually heard of someone getting lost in the astral realms never to return..:-) (I think a lot of the astral plane symbolism and dogma that many of the “purists” fut forward can actually hurt the adventurous spirit within people cause they FEAR a state that is supposed to be about freedom – not fear..:-)
