I used to think that people who dream everyday are extraordinary and that I am nothing like them because of the fact that I don’t dream as often as they do… I found it hard to believe that scientist have come up with a 6 to 8 figure as the number of dreams a person will have every night! I cannot even remember one dream!
I have also heard of this so called Lucid Dreaming. It is a state where you get to realize that you’re inside a dream. I want to experience this lucid dreaming and so I read a lot of articles about it and stumbled upon an article that got me really interested. The article told me that I have to remember my dreams before I can experience lucid dreaming. Right then and there I did realize that I could not have lucid dreams if I don’t remember dreaming in the first place. Silly me!
The human brain is really intelligent and knows how to prioritize stuff. The brain knows for a fact that dreams are mere illusions and may not become a part of your reality. The moment we wake up the brain activates or quickly gets rid of these series of images, pictures and sounds. Now, don’t go hating the brain for making room for more important stuff… ^_^
If you really want to remember your dreams, it will take a lot of effort and practice. First thing you have to take into consideration is the fact that your brain will prioritize more important stuff than your dream so before you sleep at night make sure your mind is not pre-occupied with something else(e.g. work, homework, and things to do the next day). And that will be your step 1, think about nothing but remembering your dream!
Step 2: Grab a pen and paper. You don’t have to write everything down on paper but write down key points in your dream. So, when you’re fully awake you can try to recall what you dreamt about using the subtle clues you wrote earlier for your dreams. Remember, the time it will take you to walk to the bathroom is more than enough for the brain to get rid of your dreams… So, make sure you right it down before you do anything!
Step 3: Persistence is the key! It was certainly not a walk in the park for me. It took days and weeks to accomplish remembering my dreams. There are times when I was about to give up but I remembered a very funny video which taught me that being persistent over something will really make you succeed in anything you do. Simple as it may seem but remembering to write down your dream the moment you wake up is also easy to forget!
When you do start getting the hang of it, lucid dreaming is now attainable and I will be talking to you about lucid dreaming on my next article… Let me know if you find this article useful or not! ^_^ til then!

Here’s the link to that funny video of a guy trying to break a plywood in half! It may seem to be a simple thing to do in movies but man can you feel the pain on his head after watching this video! ^_^ Hit the comments if you think it’s funny…

LOL! That really is funny. But at some point, he has made sense. Sometimes we have to feel pain to get what we really want. Just like what other people say “No pain, no gain.” And the guy in the video has pointed it out in a very funny way though.

Exactly… Man, if I’m going through tough times I watch this video and say to myself that that guy had a tougher time than I do so I will work on whatever it is that I’m having a problem with!

Yes your article is useful but there is something important thing which is the alarm clock.. You must set the clock every 90 mins because waking up ever 90 mins will give you a good chance of remembering some dreams. Now this help you fully remember your dreams. LOL I have seen the video and I was laughing at his situation.. I think this should be uploaded in fail videos. He look very dumb in video.
